This is a nice view of a small lake near our home. You can see an amazing amount of detail.
I've asked Google Earth to use the built-in GPS of the iPhone 3G to find me. Here it's zooming in on my block. Note - I was indoors when I was doing this.
It definitely found me. That pin looks like it could hurt...
Now I've decided to "fly" to Vail, Colorado. Here you can see the blue Panoramio tags and the Wikipedia tag.
Tapping on one of the Panoramio tags shows this picture from one of the gondola lifts at Vail that someone took.
I love the amount of detail you can get with Google Earth.
This is a 3D view looking towards some of the Vail ski slopes -- in summer, of course!
