Ringtone bells now appear in the music store. You can't use them until you've already purchased the track.

I had no problem using the m4r trick to add my two personal ringtones.
You've got to do the ringtone creation from your Purchased playlist
Choose the part of the track you want to use as a ringtone.
Using setfile had no effect on the files getting recognized as ringtones
The GetFileInfo and SetInfo commands turned out to be a dead end
The m4r files would not sync until renamed back to m4a
Renaming my two items back to m4a does the trick for self-created ringtones
That, in case you weren't paying close attention, is the actual ringtone I paid two bucks for. It wouldn't copy over to the iPhone!
