Palm Pre runs Doom, smartphone-loving space marines rejoice {Engadget}

Jun 12th 2009 8:08AM But does it run Lin... oh.

Joyswag: Halo Wars 'Strategic Options' DLC [Update] {Joystiq Xbox}

May 19th 2009 5:37PM I don't LIKE rushing, but I often will if I'm in it to win.

Palm launching smaller Pre-like device later this year says rumor-mill {Engadget}

Apr 30th 2009 10:10AM "A different part of the market"? I'd love to get a "plain Palm" based on webOS to tote around and tinker with. That is, one with a sweet form factor and Wi-Fi, but no cellular voice/data or contract.

Just a PDA ... but it's not gonna' happen.

Apr 14th 2009 4:37PM The post that finally freaking explained how to change my Weblogs, Inc. password before such magic was common in the lands. I remember it well.

See screens, video from canceled 3D Space Quest *platformer* {Joystiq}

Apr 5th 2009 11:07PM Ouch. As a former kid whose earliest game shopping memory is buying Space Quest II the day it hit the shelves, I'm glad this one died a quiet death.

How would you change Dell's Inspiron Mini 10? {Engadget}

Apr 4th 2009 12:50AM I purchased a netbook for my wife just this week. I strongly considered a Mini 10 based on its apparent build quality, not to mention the recently added 768p display panel option. In the end, though, the fact that it can't take an upgrade to 2GB RAM is foolishness.

Add in the fact that the promised ATSC tuner option hasn't materialized (which is really why I wanted to check out the Mini 10 in the first place) and you've got a package with a few too many shortcomings. We went with a Lenovo S10e instead and have been immensely happy with it through the past couple days of tinkering.

As if things aren't bad enough... AT&T terms change targets Sling {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Apr 3rd 2009 5:58PM Er, correction – not YouTube, actually, but rather streaming live QuickTime video from any random website.

As if things aren't bad enough... AT&T terms change targets Sling {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Apr 3rd 2009 5:56PM I understand this is particularly bad for Sling and such, but how exactly would my viewing of a YouTube video clip on my iPhone not be "customer initiated redirection of television or other video or audio signals via any technology from a fixed location to a mobile device"?

The asset is stored in a fixed location (YouTube's server) and I am initiating its redirection from that location to my iPhone through AT&T's network by opening the YouTube app and requesting its playback.

I don't like that terminology at all.

Engadget's recession antidote: win a Kensington SlimBlade Trackball! {Engadget}

Mar 10th 2009 2:13PM I say, that is quite a slim blade

Mar 7th 2009 7:35AM +1 Sony Mavica style points

Tip of the Day

Holding the Command key (aka the Apple key) and pressing Tab will cycle through your open applications. It's easier to Cmd-Tab if you are Copy (Cmd-C) and Pasting (Cmd-V) to and from various applications.
