Macworld 2007 Show Floor Showoff: ETCHamac

Some Mac websites might say, 'Macworld 2007? That's old news, grandpa!' Not TUAW, though, because we are devoted to getting as many videos that feature yours truly onto the internet as possible. After some production delays we can finally share with you our brief chat with the guys behind ETCHamac, whom we have covered here at TUAW a few times before.

Here is the iPod ready version, so feel free to avoid the Netscape player if you like.

More laser etched Powerbooks

Philip Torrone is at it again. 3 more Powerbooks have received the laser etching treatment (read about the first one he did, or get yours done by ETCHamac). This time the Powerbooks get a NeXT logo, a bunny in a tsunami, and some tasteful blossom branches.

I really want to get this done to my Powerbook, since new tops only cost $35 (for the 15 inchers). Would you do this to your precious Powerbook?

iLounge reviews ETCHamac

We were impressed with ETCHamac way back in July, but we hadn't actually sent off a Mac or iPod to their service to see how it would turn out. iLounge, with a trusty iPod in tow, decided that they must see if ETCHamac's product was up to snuff.

The image to the right is the iPod that iLounge had etched, and it looks pretty good to me, however, as the review points out the placement of the logo is a little odd.

Overall, iLounge gave the process a B.

The image in this post is from the iLounge review, we just borrowed it to illustrate our point.

Tip of the Day

Holding the Command key (aka the Apple key) and pressing Tab will cycle through your open applications. It's easier to Cmd-Tab if you are Copy (Cmd-C) and Pasting (Cmd-V) to and from various applications.
