Price cuts on cinema displays
If you’ve been drooling over a Cinema Display (and who hasn’t?), you may have just gotten the excuse you need to
justify purchasing your new toy, er - work-related equipment. Apple is cutting prices across its line of flat panel
displays.
The 20” model came down to $999, a $300 price cut, while the 23” HD display was reduced $200 to $1799. The 30” monster
is now down below the 3K price point to $2999. The cuts come as a result of both overstock and declining flat panel
component pricing throughout the industry. New pricing is already in effect at the Apple Store, so go get your drool
on…

@ Erik: if you sit 12 hours a day in front of a monitor like me, I want to look at something which pleases my eye. Besides, I can't complain about the quality, it's razor sharp, even compared to the screen of my Powerbook. I just bought mine a couple of months ago and had to hold on to my table for a minute or three... I sure paid way too much for mine 20inch, assuming Apple still makes a profit. I could have gotten me a screen + an iPod!

Or a 19" one for $225? I just can't pull the trigger and justify that kind of expense. Does it make you a better developer b/c you drop a grand on a monitor?
