Brushed Metal iPod
Who would have thought that the best way to cover up those scratches that seem to accumulate on the once shiny back
of your iPod would be to scratch it up even more? I don’t know about you, but
this iPod looks pretty sweet, and best of all it doesn’t void
the warranty.
Gentlemen, start your orbital sanders!

I did this to my iPod a year and a half ago, after seeing an early version. It does remove the stress of worrying about your untouched shiny steel. But the thing still gets gunky, and can still scratch. It's not nearly as noticeable though. A scouring pad works well, I think it may be a bit finer textured than a rough sponge. Take your time, the top is especially tricky.
