HOW-TO: Install a Bluetooth Module in a PowerMac G5
There’s a nice write-up on the French site
Pomme Grenette covering how to
add an internal Bluetooth module to your PowerMac
G5. The article is in English and includes photos for each step; a nice resource for anyone planning this upgrade.

Nice article. I don't have a Power Mac, but do have a 15" PBook about 2 generations old that has bluetooth 1.0. The new PowerBooks have a newer version of bluetooth. Can you imagine any way to upgrade bluetooth on a powerbook?
Love ya, TUAW.

If it is -that- easy, then what is the reason for this not being a customer installed option? It seems as simple as some of the other available 'home install' options. Apple could easily sell a number of these units to users who did not opt for Bluetooth at purchase.

They have a link to a place where you can buy it. It's pretty expensive though.

Anyone know where to buy the module? Apple won't just sell me one, will they?
Also, anyone know if these instructions will work with the original PowerMac G5 from 2003?
