Playlist Club to invade America Sponsored by iPodlounge
Playlist Club is having its first Playlist Club night in the states, and it
just so happens to be in the city that I live in and love so very much, Philadelphia and in London (which I am sure I
would love if I had ever been).
What is a Playlist Club? The organizers invade a popular night spot and invite the audience to become the DJ’s for the
night by bringing their iPods (or other music players) loaded with a 15 minute playlist. The playlists are played and
people rock out to your selection and you can officially come up with a DJ name (mine would be DJ Moof). Then judges
rate each DJ, and the DJ’s with the best rankings win fabulous prizes (provided by
iPodLounge in Philly and
PodGear in
London).
Here are the details:
Philadelphia -
Date: Monday March 28
Venue: The Khyber, 56 S. 2nd Street (2nd & Chestnut)
Time: 7.30pm-late
Sponsor: iPodLounge

London:

Venue: The Progress Bar, 162 Tufnell Park Road, London, N7 0EE
Time: 9pm-2am

I may be persuaded to go to the Philadelphia event, so if you see me say hello!

Hi there, We have more parties this month, on April 23 at Playlist London and April 25 at Playlist Philly. The parties are sponsored by KarmaDownload and iPodLounge respectively. We'd love to see you at either of the parties, and we hope to introduce several more across the US and Europe soon. You can read our latest press release here for more info.

March 18 2005 at 1:26 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThere's an ipod club in Seattle too. Thursday nights at the Mirabeau room. Thursdays PLAYLiST HAPPY-HOUR. PLAYLiST is an 'open-plug' happy hour event every Thursday from 5:00-8:00 pm that lets everyone play their favorite music for 15 minutes taken from their iPod or MP3 player. 'Pod Jockies' sign up on the board and watch for the clock to tic down. Then they take the iBooth and showem what theyve got. Anything goes, but bad songs.... get the gong, courtesy of I Heart Rummages Matthew Parker, PLAYLIST host and Mirabeau Room Cocktail ing鮵e. OK+ House music provided by Peter Christianson, Sean Majors and guests. No cover, 21+ 9:00 pm
