TiVo Clarifies Mac Stance
It looks like TiVo heard the online rumbling in response to the reported news that supporting the Mac under TiVoToGo's current DRM scheme would be too cost prohibitive. PVRblog is reporting that the original story was a misinterpretation of what TiVo's CFO really said. The current word is: "We value Mac enthusiasts who own TiVo DVR's. And as we've previously
stated, we're working towards support that would bring TiVoToGo to the
Macintosh platform." No time line for this support has been given.I'm still happy that I am using a DRM-free ReplayTV. ;-)

i have both - but only use replaytv. it's so far ahead of tivo it's sick. the reply UI is also much better then tivos. the fact that i have my replay connected to my XserveRAID for storage is enuf (through eNet of course). 4,400 hours available!

The thumbs up/down thing is just the bees knees to the tivo experience. I dont think anyone else has that, it lets you rank shows on your likes/dislikes and it and you watching tendancies tells tivo what you like and will enable ti to tape stuff you had no idea about... i can't imagine useing anything else, not even a third party dvr... tivo is the best. It's definitely the Apple of DVRs.
