Early Tiger Take 2
On Friday, I noted that Tiger was shipping early.
Since then, some really interesting bits of information have turned
up. Most notably, Apple is saying they won't support the
early-shipped copies of Tiger and: "When I told the rep 'No,' [about returning Tiger] he reiterated that Apple won't support my
version and that I would have to get a version that shipped next week
for it to be supported. He then threw in the offer of a free copy of
iLife or iWorks for my inconvenience!"So, if they call you to return that early-shipped copy of Tiger, say 'no' a few times and try to get some freebies.
UPDATE: Check out this comment for new info. Looks like the Apple support people figured out that they have to support the early-shipped Tiger copies and that they shouldn't be telling people otherwise. Good Apple. ;-)

I read on one of the Mac forums that you do not legally have to return unordered merchandise. Here is the link to US Code:

They are just trying to scare people.

It sounds like the support people now got the info that some people can have received a legal copy of Tiger:

The article is in French but the interesting part is in English.
Hard to say it took too long, considering it's Monday.
