OS X IP telephony news

asteriskSome good news for Mac-loving enterprise phone system managers. The VoIP Weblog notes that Benjamin Kowarsch, who built the first Mac OS X installer of Asterisk, the open-source PBX and VoIP server, is now spearheading the creation of OS X device drivers for Digium's Zaptel telephony cards.

Ted Wallingford concludes that this is A Good Thing (tm) and that the "notorious stability and security of Mac OS X (and its widely-available commercial support) make it a fantastic platform for IP telephony."
