Quicksilver for Tiger available right now
Blacktree just released version β40 of the wildly popular Quicksilver, "an evolving framework for accessing and manipulating many forms of personal data."β40 Requires Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, but Panther users can still download the older β36 version.
That was a close call. I couldn't install Tiger on any Mac I use regularly without Quicksilver compatibility.

Yikes! It sure looks different when it's invoked. Is this a new default or a pref I missed?

A close call? B35 of Quicksilver works fine with Tiger. This new version is the first to /require/ Tiger, not the first to /support/ it.

What people don't realize yet, is the Spotlight makes apps like Butler and Quicksilver completely redundant. Just try using Spotlight for launching apps and looking up bookmarks and files. Works way better than either of the two mentioned above.

Phil, I strongly disagree. Spotlight is nice for searching, but it's slow slow slow as an app launcher, or any other method of _quickly_ accessing information. I can find out a contact's address in quicksilver in 1 second. Spotlight won't even find them on my machine and it's set up to search contacts. Quicksilver does much more than spotlight, it's more customizable, it's faster and it's more efficient.
