It's not working for me on my Macs with Japanese set as their language (which is a bummer since my Japanese employees could use this). It's works on my English machines though

July 11 2005 at 2:36 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThe dictionary included is the New Oxford American Dictionary, 2e, which is about $60 US, not six bucks.
May 09 2005 at 9:47 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replystops working if you move the "dictionary" app to anywhere other than the applications folder. just so you know.
May 03 2005 at 6:51 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Reply"I just wish that OS X used the Oxford English Dictionary rather than the Oxford American." Do Tiger users in other countries have a dictionary in their native language (e.g., and Italian dictionary for Italian Tiger users)?
May 03 2005 at 2:24 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Reply"Even the compact OED is about four-hundred bucks" -- san The online subscription is 195+VAT per year. But that's the full (multi-volume bookshelf sized) OED. The concise/pocket sized versions in paper form cost around 5-30. I'm willing to bet these are around the same size as the OAD included in Tiger (they are certainly a lot bigger than my pockets :) ).
