Apple quietly updates iMac lineup
New iMacs snuck into the Apple Store this morning. So what's new?The iMac G5 now sports a minimum of 512MB of RAM (finally!), 2GHz G5 CPUs on the top 2 configs, built-in Airport Extreme & Bluetooth, dual-layer 8x SuperDrives on the 2GHz models, Gigabit Ethernet, 160GB or 250GB hard drives, faster graphics thanks to the ATI 9600 with 128MB of core-image capable DDR SDRAM. Tiger and iLife included across the board. Price tag? Start at $1299 and work your way up. The full press release is here.

Ack !!! Apple did it to me AGAIN !! Two weeks and two days ago ( and there is a reason for being so exact) I paid $1673 for a 1.8GHz 17" imac with 512M RAM and bluetooth. Now for $100 LESS, you can get the 2GHz Processor, WiFi and 100G of hard disk. And since I am over my 2 weeks limit, i cannot even return this to the store. Man, am I bummed out or what .... Oh welll .... wonder if anyone knows apple policy on stuff like this ...

This was the one I've been waiting for! I'm excited to be Apple's newest switcher. Can't wait to see what all the fuss is about.
