My dictionary doesn't say that, but it does say that Johnny is a short gown fastened in the back worn by hospital patients...

Re: #2
I doubt that Dictionary.app can be hacked to use a different source since Apple has the dictionary/thesaurus source files embedded into the OS X. The application probably isn't capable of accessing the internet even.

Another cool dictionary thing -- you can hold down apple-ctrl-d and mouse over words in safari, mail, ichat to get an instant definition.

I don't have Tiger quite yet, but isn't the italic part just a quote? The actual definition is "a web log," right?

If you go to the prefs of Dictionary.app, you can set a contextual menu for getting a definition. AKA, right click on a selected word and a small window with the definition, instead of the entire app opening. Cocoa apps only, I believe.

Michael, although you can't hack the dictionary to use Wikipedia you can get a Widget to do so.
