More Apple Snarkiness
"LOL. Check out the image Apple uses to show off the DopplerViewer Dashboard widget: A storm over Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, Washington. See, that's the kind of good-natured ribbing I can rally around. "

I'll admit it... I found it pretty damn funny, myself :)

Well living in Western Washington I can say that that is exactly what most radar images of the weather look like around here.

You do realize that that widget (and the selected screenshot) were created by Matthew M. Swan (http://blog.swannman.com/), and not Apple, right? None of these widgets and downloads are Apple created.
And, not surprisingly, he's (Matthew Swan) from Seattle. So of course the screenshot he submitted with his widget is of that area.

An even better example of Apple snarkiness can be found inside your Tiger manual (or at least the small booklet that came with Tiger retail highlighting the new features). On the page dedicated to Dashboard, there is an image of the stock tracking widget with all companies (including Apple) having a positive stock increase with the exception of Microsoft, which has a stock decline.

Actually, the storm isn't over Redmond. It's probably 20 miles east, at best.
