An iPod Case from J.Crew

jcrew ipod casesPreppies rejoice!

J.Crew launched their own line of iPod cases today. The cases are made of Indian cotton madras patchwork, with leather trim and accents.  There are two cases available so far... a stylish plaid for the full-sized iPod and a hideous blue pattern - which looks suspiciously like the pattern on the dishes my grandmother used to set out when company was coming for dinner - for the iPod mini. Both styles have belt clips so you wear them proudly with your finest pair of freshly pressed khakis.

Next up? A Mac mini cable-knit sweater from Abercrombie and Fitch.

actually it's just jcrew releasing this year's batch. and while it is ipod shaped, still technically called mp3 case. but last year's version instead of the plaid used repp silk. it was pretty nice. i almost picked one up.

It's about time that more retailers got in on the iPod cash cow and made some "quality" cases and products. I am surprised that Gap, Abercrombie, etc. hasn't already capitalized on the madness. I love it!

I have to admit that I'm a sucker for paisley. If they added a paisley case alongside the plaid one, I'd be all over it faster than you can say "unecessary and probably overpriced purchase." It'd go great with some of my paisley shirts.

I'm usually not a fan of plaid, but I really am digging the plaid one. I think it would look better with black leather accents, instead of brown, though.

Just what all the 'fashionable' boys and girls need. Something to try and differenciate their ipod (that they bought cause everyone else was getting one). lol. It's a viscious cycle!
