Script Automator

ApplescriptAutomator is very cool. Applescript is very cool. We all know that Automator can be used to fire off Applescripts but macosxhints points out that you can actually script Automator itself.

The hint detailed at macosxhints shows you how to fire off a workflow from Applescript, and since it is so simple to do I will reprint the whole thing here:

tell application "Automator Launcher"
open "... path to saved workflow document ..."
end tell

The fun doesn't stop there though, Automator has a full dictionary of commands that one can access from Applescript. Check it out and let us know what you do with it.

Tip of the Day

Holding the Command key (aka the Apple key) and pressing Tab will cycle through your open applications. It's easier to Cmd-Tab if you are Copy (Cmd-C) and Pasting (Cmd-V) to and from various applications.
