Quicktime 7.01
That's right, kids, the first update to Quicktime 7 is now available in a Software Update near you. What's included you wonder? Well, at 26 megs I would imagine a whole bunch.
Direct from Apple:
'QuickTime 7.0.1 provides several important bug fixes, a security enhancement, and improved compatibility with Final Cut Studio. This update is recommended for all QuickTime 7 users'
Update away, my friends. However, if you are still using QT 5 or 6 pro your Pro key will become invalid and you'll need to purchase another one.
Still no word on Quicktime 7 for Windows though.
Thanks for the tip, Caius.

Hi, A downside to Quicktime 7: they closed a loophole in Quicktime 6 that let's you save the music videos played through iTunes. With QT 6 the video files could be found in a temp folder. I'd save my favorite music videos to play anytime, and with QT Pro that means full screen music videos. QT 7 encrypts the the video file, so it's useless outside of iTunes. So I've decided to keep my old Blueberry iBook on QT6 for this very purpose. BTW: I purchased a Pro Key for QT6 just one week before 7 was released. Customer Support at the online store were very kind to exchange the defunct key for a new one. I was impressed. Joe
