iPod Updater 2005-06-26 available
iPod Updater 2005-06-26 is available via Software Update. According to Apple, this update "...delivers iPod Software 1.2 for iPod with color display, iPod mini Software 1.4 for iPod mini and iPod Software 3.1 for iPod with Click Wheel. [Also added] 1ntegration with iTunes 4.9 for downloading and listening to podcasts."I don't yet know if this update adds a "podcast" menu option. More to follow. In the meantime, go and grab it.

Any ipodlinux users try this yet? I remember when i updated the firmware on my first gen from 1.4 to 1.5 it broke my ipodlinux loader. I had to downgrade, which was tricky to find someone with the old package of 1.4 firware. I have ipodlinux on my 4th gen also and i am wondering if any other users have tried it yet and had any problems... thanks.

Yep there is now a menu option to turn on Podcast to easily find all of your Podcast downloads. All updates went well.

#1 - They have linux for the 4G now? Last I knew it was still in the works. If you know where I can find linux for a 40GB 4G I'd appreciiate it.

When I loaded the new software, the machine jammed. I had to restart with my original CD to format the Ipod several times before it worked. After that I was able to load the new seftware on the machine. But I still have an error that I am only able to load 6 GB of the 20 GB with music. The podcast works very well.

I'm a relatively new iPod mini user (April) and recently downloaded the 1.4 software (had no problems). I will admit I am a bit of a techno-idiot, and I haven't found the users manual or website to be very helpful with most questions. Other than podcasts, what new features have been added with this software update? Aren't there a lot of menu changes? When I go to "Settings
