Apple no longer strong enough to be Sheryl Crow's man?
AdJab, one of the other excellent blogs under the WIN umbrella, posted today about how Sheryl Crow will be appearing in new television ads for Dell, featuring her latest
single "Good is Good."Steve Rubel is a very observant guy. He asks... "Remember how she previously touted the Mac?" Think back to the iLife video from the 2004 Macworld San Francisco keynote. Rubel speculates that perhaps Sheryl's Windows-inclined boyfriend (some cyclist named Lance?) talked her into it.
But I think maybe she just doesn't like sharing the Apple limelight with Bono and John Mayer.
[Thanks, Steve!]

Isn't Windows that OS that run on DeLLs or other generic computers NOT running Unix/OSX/Linux?
Oh yes, I remember, Windows that package that had solitaire!

Who cares?
I think when she shilled herself to Big Brother 3 and then singing on a United airplane Sheryl Crow proved she is an artist no more and simply available to any corporation who will pay her fees.
Selling-out to the Wall Mart of the IT industry is right up her alley. Maybe her next album should be called, "Every day low prices."

Apple just traded up to U2 and John Mayer, leaving Sheryl as their 'sloppy seconds' for Dell. What's the problem? ;-)

Yeah, what a whore. She gets all down and dirty with the cute computer, then BAM! Goes for the rich black dude. I never cared for her music anyway, plus it goes to show you how easily some artists can be bought.
Fishes,
narco.

Maybe my memory is going (probable) but wasn't she in the sample video on Windows 95 back when? So I think it is just about money. As it is for just about all of us.

Actually your headline has it backwards, Sheryl Crow is no longer strong enough to be Apple's girl....she's history.

Maybe it has something to do with the HP laptop thing and AMD's co-sponsorship of the Discovery bike team.

Actually I remember Weezer being the demo video in Windows 95. I always think of windows when I hear the song "Buddy Holly." What a waste.

Yes, Weezer was on the original Win95 CD, but I imagine Sagamiman is thinking of Edie Brickell, who also had a video ("Good Times") on that CD.

D'oh. Um, I mean, I imagine Steve M is thinking of Edie Brickell. Sorry, Sagamiman.
