Apple no longer strong enough to be Sheryl Crow's man?
AdJab, one of the other excellent blogs under the WIN umbrella, posted today about how Sheryl Crow will be appearing in new television ads for Dell, featuring her latest
single "Good is Good."Steve Rubel is a very observant guy. He asks... "Remember how she previously touted the Mac?" Think back to the iLife video from the 2004 Macworld San Francisco keynote. Rubel speculates that perhaps Sheryl's Windows-inclined boyfriend (some cyclist named Lance?) talked her into it.
But I think maybe she just doesn't like sharing the Apple limelight with Bono and John Mayer.
[Thanks, Steve!]

D'oh. Um, I mean, I imagine Steve M is thinking of Edie Brickell. Sorry, Sagamiman.

July 14 2005 at 10:13 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyMaybe it has something to do with the HP laptop thing and AMD's co-sponsorship of the Discovery bike team.
July 14 2005 at 8:55 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyActually your headline has it backwards, Sheryl Crow is no longer strong enough to be Apple's girl....she's history.
July 14 2005 at 7:33 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyMaybe my memory is going (probable) but wasn't she in the sample video on Windows 95 back when? So I think it is just about money. As it is for just about all of us.

July 14 2005 at 5:35 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyApple just traded up to U2 and John Mayer, leaving Sheryl as their 'sloppy seconds' for Dell. What's the problem? ;-)
July 14 2005 at 1:24 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replybwhaler, do you realize one of her albums was BANNED by Walmart?
July 14 2005 at 12:47 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWho cares? I think when she shilled herself to Big Brother 3 and then singing on a United airplane Sheryl Crow proved she is an artist no more and simply available to any corporation who will pay her fees. Selling-out to the Wall Mart of the IT industry is right up her alley. Maybe her next album should be called, "Every day low prices."
