Dear Safari RSS Team
D'Arcy Norman, whose blog is one of my regular reads, has written an open letter to the Safari RSS team, pointing out some key spots where he'd like to see some improvements in Safari RSS. Since I like most of his points, I thought I'd point to them to help make them a bit more visible.Among D'Arcy's requests for Safari RSS:
- New item only view
- Collapsible / expandable entries
- Improved scheduled updates

How about if when you paste a RSS link into the download window it downloads the actual RSS file instead of modifying it with Safari's RSS display code and giving you that file.

Right now the only Mac browser able to do that is Firefox, which I just don't like...!! (Please refrain from telling me what a great app that is, I've heard it all before! ;-)
August 01 2005 at 5:08 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI'd like all of the "Weblogs Inc" sites to quit using uncollapsable RSS feeds. I have everything else shunken down to just show headlines, yet Engadget and TUAW both put the ENTRIE ARTICLE including images into the feed. Bastards.
