I'm a recent "switcher", but if they're only now adding features that Money has had for years, I'll keep my finances on the PC for now. I had no idea Quicken for Mac was that lacking in features. Sounds like there's no reason to open the version that came with my Mac.

Some options are 'MoneyDance' and 'iBank'. MoneyDance has the ugliest UI I've seen since 1988. It supports online downloads though. iBank looks like an actual OS X app but doesn't support direct downloads.. I guess I'll wait till either the guys at Moneydance learn UI design or the iBank guys add more features.. I wish Intuit would discontinue Quicken for the Mac. They've been mailing it in for a while now.

As much as I love my Macs, I do miss having a decent financial software program for them. I have Quicken 2005 for the Mac, but it really sucks compared to the Windows version. Even Microsoft Money for Windows is better. Last year's upgrade between Quicken 2004 and 2005 was a joke. This year's upgrade doesn't look any better as I look at the list of "new features." I know that Intuit was at one time going to discontinue Quicken for the Mac, but then changed their minds at the urging of Steve Jobs. Yes, they still sell Quicken for the Mac, but apparently they did kill all real development on it. That's a shame. Can anybody recommend a suitable Mac financial software program to replace Quicken?

I think I'll stick to using MS Money through VPC. Come on Apple! Give us a real competitor to this piece of garbage. Or at least take out the code check that forces me to fool it into thinking that my Etrade export is really from Amex.

Hopefully you can import PC Quicken to this new Mac edition. I hate using my PC.
