Put Google Maps on your iPod Photo
File this one under "Why Didn't I Think Of That?" Ian Meyer has posted his clever method for putting Google maps on your iPod Photo. First, find a map on Google that traces your travel route. Zoom in and out as necessary, taking screenshots as you go along. For a longer journey, take successive screenshots of all the different maps you're going to use.
Now it's simply a matter of making a new album in iPhoto, let's say "Road Trip 8/10/05," arranging your photos sequentially and connecting your iPod. While you're on the road, your navigator can use the click wheel to move along your travel route as you drive.
Good idea, Ian.

That's pretty cool. Although printing it out on paper works too.
