Adium X 0.83 Released

note - a gaim "google summer of code" developer is hard at work making gaim (and thus adium & proteus) able to tranfer AIM and ICQ files through NATS, routers, and firewalls. here is a journal of his work. http://gaim.sourceforge.net/summerofcode/jonathan/blog I wonder how long it will take for this to pass review and get into adium's version of libgaim. Praise be unto them apples.

OMG, it's so much better than iChat or Proteus.

@peeweejd: Have a look at http://homepage.mac.com/mbh0ckey. It's a recompiled version of Adium with the brushed metal style. Just like iChat...

the file transfer issue is the _only_ reason I don't use Adium. I love adium for everything else. I love the little scripts, the skins, the different IM protocols, the tabbed window and the icon. I still prefer the look of the ichat window though (the beautiful cartoony balloons and how they alternate sides). I wish adium had a skin that could duplicate that. I know there are some that come close though.

I tried Proteus and it is non-stop crashing. Back to Adium 0.82. Hell, the latest Adium svn didn't crash as much as Proteus 4.12b is crashing.

I've always had issues with file transfers with this program too. I still use it daily, but have to launch iChat for transfers, which blows.

Been withdrawn due to a contact display issues, I had the Beta anyway :)

I don't remember what version it began, but I can transfer files using Adium 0.82. Looking forward to version 0.84.

amybody know if this new release has solved the file transfer issues? I still need the aol aim client for transferring files to and fro.
