iTunes Stats

iTunes StatsAlex King, is there nothing you can't do? The man behind Tasks and FeedLounge has offered up iTunes Stats for our consumption. It is still a little rough around the edges, but hey it is free.

Basically it is a little web app that you run on your own server (or personal Mac) that imports your iTunes library XML file into a mySQL database and creates a few reports based on that info. The beauty of this is that if you know anything about PHP or SQL  you can create your own reports.

I've always wondered who I listen to more, Neil Diamond or William Shatner.

Nimoy's fine and dandy, but it's all about the Shatner. Has Been is still one of my favorite albums--it's a rare week I don't listen to something from it.

Ah yes, who could forget Nimoy's masterpiece, "Bilbo Baggins"? And now you're all going to have that song stuck in your head all day! Muaaaahahahahaaaa!

Don't forget that Leonard Nemoy made a couple of recordings, too. =)

You can also just use Audioscrobbler (or last.fm, I think they just took it over). It manages all your played tracks and lets other people see it. You can also add friends so they can see what you're listening to as well. I totally dig it. Here's mine if you guys are interested: http://www.last.fm/user/fiche/ Fishes, narco.
