My favorite schmata

ScreensavRz.jpgI have a favorite schmata -- a little gray rag that goes everywhere I go. No, I'm not regressing. I'm just in love with my Radtech ScreensavRz. Put this little piece of microfiber at the top of your must-have list of Powerbook accessories. What's it good for? Lay it on top of your keyboard when you close the Powerbook to save your LCD screen from nasty key marks. Use it to wipe dust from the screen and to clean off the keyboard and trackpad. In a pinch, you can use it to clean up a spill. Just throw it in the washing machine and it's new again. I just broke down and bought a second one—this time in aqua. You can keep all the snazzy noise-canceling earphones and flylights. Just give me and my Powerbook our schmata.

Got the Powersleevz and Screensavrz as well. Cool products, I must say!

It is not just the PowerBooks that have this issue. I use the Shaggymac screen protector with many different brands, and recommend them to all notebook users!

Holy Jesus! That is the coolest thing I have seen in... at least the whole of today! :-) I've never seen the in Australia, so I've just hit up RadTech's online store! Whee! I'm going to have to get one of their Notebook Sleevz at some stage too. #7: I can confirm to you that the 15" Aluminum PowerBooks (except for the first few of the early 1GHz ones) have recessed keys, and I haven't had problems with my two (EOL 1GHz and 1.5GHz USB trackpad)

you can get the same thing for less at shaggymac. They also have sizes that fit Windows laptops and even custom sized ones.

I have "the slip" from crumpler. Same idea, and it also works great. Check out crumplers other stuff as well... they have all sorts of bags for apple notebooks.

I'll second Marcello... this problem with the Powerbooks is sheer idiocy. I've heard rumors that the latest generation Powerbooks have slightly recessed keys, but I don't know if that's the case. Incidentally, I use a nice sheet of cotton parchment paper for this.

Radtech is one of my favorite companies. I have the ScrensaveRz, Wildeepz, Portectorz, their Bluetooth Mid-size mouse, and a CableYoYo. :)

I use the Radtech Powersleeve and it works great! Same material, quite thin, yet protects my PB and cleans it oh so well. Check it out!

Is it really thin? I have a marware keyboard cover but it seems a little too thick.

I have one too, for my iBook. Bought it right after I got the ibook, because dad's laptop always had key marks, and oil all over the screen. Its a great item to have.
