iTunes Phone finally here...

...but who cares when you have the iPod nano. I don't know if I am super-thrilled with the Motorola iPhone announcement. It's too little too late. Here's the link if you want to check it out.
Of more interest to me is the new version 5 of iTunes. Get it.

To say I'm disapointed in the new iTunes phone would be an understatement. The camera is a step down from the s710a and it's locked at 100 songs. I'm not sure who the audience for the phone is.

Too little too late? Too late - for what? It's a cool phone, if you want music to listen to on it. Just like if you want a camera on your phone to take pictures with. It's pretty cool if you ask me.
Music on your phone is the next big thing... the next craze, just like cameras were popular the last couple of years. Too late? I doubt it!

My only question is, when is it coming to Verizon?

The ROKR was built up too much to actually make the splash it would have made if it was announced like... in july?

I'm just not that excited about this. Rather than innovate, they've just filled out the product line. The ROKR phone is a big yawn (and ugly to boot). The Nano is very nice, but from a user standpoint, not really that much of a change. The form factor is a little nicer, but it's basically the same product as the Mini was.
Where's the innovation? Other companies have been slapping together flash based music players (with LCDs I might add) for the past couple of years. Right now, it just seems that they are concentrating on filling out the product line rather than coming up with anything new or exciting.

This phone seems pretty lame. Can't transfer via BT and only 100 songs... it's a dud even before it goes on the market. They waited too long.

iTunes 5.0 - IT STILL WON'T STRETCH. Sorry for the caps ladies and gents, but c'mon. For fra - open up "Activity Monitor" and force quit anything iTunes iPod related... it could be "iTunes Helper"?
Hope that helps

hey, the ROKR is diplayed on the UK Apple Frontpage with a cingular logo (i think, you gotta look real close). Odd cingular don't happen to supply in the UK (I don't think they run under any other name, ideas). The Apple site for ipod/mobile doesn't exist as of tonight... Apple Store's staff couldn't help me out (the second time I called the guy did 'a google' for me - sweet).
Anyhoo, I may just give in and upgrade my P800 is ridiculously bulky for 2005.
Oh, above, when i said "it won't stretch" i was ranting about the fact you still cannot (on version 5!!!) maxamise iTunes over the full desktop - there's a good 4px at either side on my 14" iBook. Makes me mad.

For iTunes 5 to install try closing all iTunes widgets and turn off things like SizzlingKeys. iTunes and everything connected to iTunes needs to be off.

I've been very outspoken on my dislike for an iTunes phone. However, maybe Apple DOES realize that it won't be a big seller, but will bring more brand recognition to the company. That's the only incentive I can see for making this iPhone thing.
However, I'll just stick with my Motorola Razr V3.

This is a Motorola product, not an Apple product. Who knows but I don't think we'll ever see a phone designed by Apple.
