Tiny iPod, huge dock
Kensington's SX 2000 speakers and iPod docking station are, well, really huge. The large panel is the speaker itself, as Kensington is using NXT technology. I think it looks an awful lot like an Apple display if you ask me. Kensington states that any iPod can fit into the device's "Universal Dock" by making use of the included, interchangable "Dock Adapters" inserts.I think the nano looks kind of silly plugged into that behemoth, but it probably sounds fantastic, so what do I know. You can pick one up for $159.99US.

If the bit that is the speaker was actually an lcd touch screen that displayed album art and visualisations which plugged in to a stereo I might be more enamoured. Oh, and had a remote as well.

September 11 2005 at 6:39 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyJust a little off topic, but I got an "Introducing iPod mini" email from the Apple store today. There's a link in it to "Personalise your nano", which leads you to http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/ukstore?promo=ipodpersonal Looks like someone at Apple was a bit careless!
