Apple Box Pack Rats

I blame Apple for making such nice packaging for their products! Of course I keep them... doesn't everyone!

Not only do I keep the boxes, but I place the boxes in airtight containers, thus retaining the air inside the box, so I can re-live that special day I purchased an Apple product, over and over again, you know like in that film Groundhog Day. Thanks. Please excuse my inglish I'm from Stoke.

Yes, of course I keep the boxes. The graphite iMac, the purple iMac, the sage iMac, the Cube, the 15" cinema display, the 20" cinema display, the G5 iMac. Heck these are all working computers. Toss em? Fuggetabouit.

I've kept every apple box and bag i've gotten, and even one thats not mine. it started with the box for my G4 iMac which i had to keep, because there is no other good way to transport it that i can find.....with the way the screen is attached its hell to move.

I don't keep the boxes for anything else, but Apple stuff - yup! Got mostly all of them, including the box for my Performa 550 and the box for my PowerMac 8100/80av. it is a sickness.

iBook G3 800Mhz 3rd gen iPod latest eMac I love the boxes and have kept them all, why because they are works of art on their own and they belong in design museum somewhere.

Still have my Mac IIci boxes @ my parents (probably holding Christmas ornaments like a previos poster's). And, I still have my iMac DV box. It's just cute! Now, I also have my PBG4 17" box here in the computer room. I guess I just haven't taken it out to the garage yet..... I guess it will rot there with my old Sun SPARCstation 20. Sigh.

I just sold my 2 year old ibook, and it was so satisfying to pack it up back into its box and I even found the receipt (3-year applecare c/o student discount still going strong!) I have all my apple boxes (ipod, wireless keyboard, airport extreme base station, airport express, ibook, 20" display) - they are just so good looking! And they have a nice plasticy covering which keeps the dust down (I'm hayfever prone). I had to throw the powermac box though - it was just too big and got in the way! My sister used it to move house instead. I also used to keep the boxes from my Clinique purchases (they also have very nice packaging) but they really were too small to put to any good use. And, its like crazy (*pout*).

Gosh!I still have my iPod box sitting on the bookshelf from a year ago, could not throw it away its like a piece of art with the cool colors and cube like structure. I also still have my keyboard box. I suppose when I get a Mac I'll keep the box as well :-)

Yeah, I'm a hoarder. I got my second iPod, but I still haven't thrown away the box from my first one. :-
