Quartz Composer Wiki
Quartzcompositions.com is yet another Mac related wiki that seem to be propagating across the internet. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the wiki-revolution but what's next, a Finder wiki? Hmm.. that may not be such a bad idea afterall.Back to the QC Wiki, it covers many different aspects of this powerful and free program that is most likely sitting on your hard disk as you read this. Start off by read the Introduction to Quartz Composer and soon enough you'll be composing with the best of them.

As a future switcher, I'm interested in OSX technologies. Taking a glance at the linked intro, I'd guess this could pump up Mac gaming. With the switch to Intel, I hope game publishers start considering OpenGL for coding: Code once, run on 3 operating systems. Quick search reveals: http://www.tuaw.com/2005/07/24/this-is-not-your-fathers-pong/ While it may be a technology hidden from casual users, it's certainly a program for devs to build for casual users and promote Mac gaming. BTW: Of the 3 new articles since I last read about 14 hours ago, this was the first.

It was a fun blog to post to and to read. GASP! - heaven forbid! "Oh my guard stood hard as I aim my stance at the mongrel dogs who teach, Fearing not I'd become my enemy in the instant that I preach." Yes, "J" I quote "My Back Pages" by Bob Dylan to say, in a round about way, that maybe it's you that really sucks. Have a nice day. =)
September 26 2005 at 11:32 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyHey J, Thanks for expressing your opinion, and I'm sorry that you aren't interested in Quartz Composer, however I would point out that that 'name your powerbook' post got 141 comments (and counting!) so it seems some people like that kinda thing, unless all the comments are, 'You suck!' We are always thinking about our readers and I would like to hear what you would like to see here on TUAW. I look forward to your idea.
September 26 2005 at 10:22 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyDear TUAW, it is crap like this article and most of the past posts from the last two eeks that are really making me lose faith in this site. For lack of better words, it sucks. The posts are boring and most of the time are stupid crap like "name my powerbook", and other pointless posts. Sincerely, J
