Quicktime 7.0.3 available in Software update

Quicktime 7.0.3 Hot on the heels of iTunes 6 (iTunes 5 we hardly knew ye) Apple has released Quicktime 7.0.3 to Software Update.

This update fixes some bugs with streaming and H.264 video and, this is the big one, 'Quicktime 7 Pro users also gain the ability to create video and audio files that can be played back on compatible iPods.'

At the moment a stand alone installer is not available from Apple's website.

The quicktime demo of FrontRow http://www.apple.com/imac/tour/ crashed both browsers at work running a PC with QT 7.0.1, and my Safari at home running QT 7.0.2. After installing QT 7.0.3 on my Mac, Safari played the demo perfectly.

My COMPUTER (not just QuickTime) crashes when playing some videos with AC3 audio after this update.

yup .. .same goes for me ... currently doing a "test/proof of concept" rip of firefly episode 1 into iPod video format (.m4v)

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/mac.html Download here is for 7.0.3... it's the one I downloaded, and that's what it says in the About box.
