Stock brokers crack open an iPod 5G so you don't have to

Jeffries & Company, a US-based investment bank, has prepared an investment summary that recommends Broadcom (BRCM) as a hot buy based on their supplying Apple with critical elements of the video-enable iPod. But since we're not here to give you stock tips, we'd like to direct your attention to pages 3 and 4 of the summary, where you'll find some great pics of the new iPod's innards, complete with board and chip part numbers (in case you want to make your own?). The PDF is mirrored here for your convenience. Don't say I never did anything nice for you.

There's a typo on the photo you posted and the PDF - the chip in the lower right corner is labelled for the "touchscreen", but elsewhere in the doc it is described as for the "touchwheel". An iPod with a touchscreen would be an interesting thing, but this is not such an iPod :-)
