Well you may accuse me of being a bit of a spoilsport, but I don't think the Mac mini power adapter recently being added on The Apple Store is anything more than a 50 dollar power cord. No, Apple Insider, I don't think this is foreshadowing anything at all. If anything, Apple will probably just release Front Row for all Mac models and leave it at that. You want to rumor monger? Fine. Go pontificate about what we'll see in an Intel flavor in January.
Update: Apparently Apple Insider took down their post about the adapter. Move along now, nothing to see.

Is Apple Insider stupid? This is just a replacement/additional power cord for the Mac Mini. The first thing my dad said when he opened his new Compaq laptop is that he wanted to get an additional power cord for downstairs.

Your Apple store links don't work. As per usual. They're session based, so it works for a very very short window.

All you have to do to stop the links expiring is remove the session data. Thus:

becomes

Yay Apple!
Umm, incidently, what does a Mac Mini Power Adaptor have to do with the price of fish?

I thought that the power adaptor was the same one that the new iMacs used?

mdavey, it's not. since the mini is so small, they removed the power supply, and it sits in a brick on the floor. the iMac's poer supply is arranged in a strip at the bottom of the machine (if i remember right), and it's basically a normal power cord that's been modified a bit for the iMac.

Is there any hope of us getting this in the UK. Carrying my mac mini to and from work would be easier if I could leave a power pack at home and at work. I've been quoted £100 for a service part power pack in the UK. Come on apple don't neglect us!
