Google Earth in the works for Mac OS X?
According to AppleInsider, Google has a beta of the satellite mapping application in the works for us Mac users. Google Earth allows a user to enter a residential or business address, and then "travels" to that location, starting from outer space via a series of satellite images. One of my PC-using friends loves to tell me how cool Google Earth is. Come on, Google. Let me answer back with, "Yeah, I was using it earlier today..."

the above file, when opened, is 'not recognized' by the default DMG mounter in OSX and Toast Titanium makes it into an audio file.

The above file worked for me. Just download and use msjstw when keychain pops up and asks you for a password. I am on os x 10.4.3 if that has anything to do with it.

Worked for me with the password in #3. Works pretty well on my iBook. Not as smooth as my Windows box with a 128MB graphics card, but good enough. Thanks for the link.

i have 10.4.3 as well... I can't understand what could be the issue... hmm...
By the way, trying to expand the file with Stuffit Expander 9.0 also resulted in the unrecognizable error for me.

If you install google earth in windows you can see from the files it installs that it uses cross platform opengl and cross platform Qt for the GUI...I'm just surprised it's taking them so long to get non-windows versions out, the hard parts have been done for a long time.

In case of dmg unrecognized error: Just re-download the file again - I had the same problem with the download untill I checked the file size: it was only 29MB instead of ca.48MB

I'm running 10.4.3 and after I downloaded, keychain asked me for a password and when I entered it, the image mounted just fine. Works perfectly on my 1.42ghz iBook with 1.5GB ram.
