Macworld gives Automator an Eddy

Macworld EddyAutomator is finally getting some well-deserved credit and love, this time from the gang at Macworld in the form of an Eddy for Top Productivity Booster of 2005. Other winners in the category include Delicious Library 1.5, OmniOutliner Pro 3 and LaunchBar 4. Check out the rest of the results of this year's Macworld Editor's Choice Awards, as they still have a couple more categories to roll out.

Application updates of what? Not sure what you mean. Autmator updates? How about MS Office? I don't recall seeing many workflows for office Apps. But I haven't checked Automator World for ages. I use PowerPoint and Word mostly - these are true productivity apps for most of us. My emailer is Eudora- and I don't see much use for scripts there. iTunes is the only Apple app I use much other than Safari. Haven't found a workflow I need there as yet. These aren't really productivity apps anyway, IMHO.

umijin: A lot of third parties have hopped onto the Automator bandwagon too though, depending on what kind of work you're doing. Have you checked in on application updates?

Hmmm... Anyone actually USING Automator? I've tried to integrate it into my 'workflow' (pun unintended), but most of the premade scripts are for Apple apps, which I do not use (except Safari).
