Let them all have RoadTrips

We recently annouced the winner of our RoadTrip contest and there was the usual mixture of excitment and dissappointment. I found myself pacing back and forth in TUAW's secret underground HQ when C.K. walked past me.

C.K.: 'What's wrong, Scott, you look troubled.'

Me: 'Well, C.K., I just wish that there was somehow a way that everyone who entered the RoadTrip contest could have won something. It is the holiday season afterall.'

With a twinkle in his eye and a spring in his step C.K. ran off down the corridor. I knew he was up to something, but what?

Later that day C.K. found me flipping through an ancient tome about Steve Jobs in TUAW's impresive library.

'We've saved Christmas,' he bellowed.

'What?'

'Griffin is giving everyone who entered the RoadTrip content their very own RoadTrip (in their choice of either charcoal or white)! Plus they are giving Billfred (the winner) a goodie bag full of Griffin gear!'

C.K. and I danced a jig in celebration and then lifted a snifter of cognac to the good people at Griffin.

Hi David,

I also sent a few follow-up e-mails but have not received any confirmation or notice of shipment.

TUAW, any idea when we can expect the RoadTrip? My TT and new iPod video waiting patiently :-)

has anybody got theirs yet? i sent my shipping information as soon as I got the email, but haven't received so much as a confirmation. no rush, I was just wondering if there's a confirmation or something or if my previous email didn't go through.

No Email message for me either. I'm sure Scott is just very, very busy, but like "yourmom" I to am concerned, not nervous, just concerned. After all it's a free gift, it would have been nice for Christmas, but it is the 12 days of Christmas. I just hope I made the nice list this year.

Time for some nog and a viewing of the "A Charlie Brown Christmas" DVD.
