I
just received a virtual Christmas card from Burk Murray, Director of Access Solutions for Belkin Corp. It seems my last post on the subject of the
repeatedly delayed Flip for Mac
mini caused quite a stir at Belkin headquarters. Poor Burk has been innundated with emails from people forwarding
him a link to my post, demanding to know when they could get their hands on the elusive Flip.Just as I was ready to give up all hope, Burk reached out to alert me that they've all been working overtime to
I'd like to apologize to the families of the small furry animals that had to be sacrificed on account of my ranting. Who knew I had such power?

I think it's great that you have gotten the message through to Belkin that if they announce a new product, people want it now! and not at some distant time in the future.
Maybe they need a new way to register interest in the product (other than pre-orders) so they can get a move on with what consumers want

That's weird. I've seen them for sale on my last visit to Tottenham Court Road in London a couple of weeks ago for £25. Also seen them for sale in PC World for the same price. Maybe they're just late rolling out in the USA.

I saw a couple on sale at Compusa last night, so it doesn't surprise me that it's early.

So, how is it?
And how come I don't see it on Amazon or on CompUSA's crappy website?

Matt B, are you sure that you saw the flip and not the usb/firewire hub by belkin. The two look very similar and the price point ($50) seems a lot close to what you saw.

I just got back from macworld and was happy to see the belkin flip on display. It looks like a pretty nice product - even potentially for those without a mac mini. Yes, it's designed for the mac mini and fits perfectly under it, but I'd even consider using it on my powermac and pc setup.
Unfortunately, I just talked to a rep from belkin that told me that it's not going to be available until Feb 24! **sigh** and the wait continues.
