Proof of Intel iBooks at MWSF?
More early
evidence that Apple is set to release Intel-based portable and/or desktop computers at MacWorld Expo San Francisco in
two weeks. EMSNow is a website that tracks news from the electronic manufacturing services industry, and they have an
article today stating:"It will help increasing the total production of first quarter next year for both companies. However, Quanta and Asustek both make no comments on this. Apple computer stated it would exhibit its desktop and notebook with Intel processor at Mac World Expo in San Francisco, USA from 9th to 13th January next year."
Is this definitive? Not quite, but it's clearly an indicator as to what might be coming. At the very least, I suspect we may see Intel iBooks announced, rather than released.

wants an iBook said 1:40PM on 12-28-2005
My tax return is still marked for a new iBook as long as it's got the Intel, and can dual boot XP (needed for work). The timing should be about perfect, since I should be able to file the return in the beginning of Feb. and get the refund a couple weeks after. By then we should know if the rev A machines have any "issues" like faulty logic boards, ram slots, display lines, etc...
I can hardly wait. TUAW better have a live update running from MWSF!

I do not know if this is true but hey it would be great.

I admit, I'm one who never buys a first-generation product. But The possibility of finally getting a laptop that runs both OSX and Windows with decent speed is too great to pass up, if there's something on the shelves come end of February I'm grabbing one.

The only reason I'm waiting for a dual boot system is so I can finally play games online with my Windows friends.
Games like City of Heroes/Villans, etc. that will never make it to the Mac platform.

I happen to agree that Intel Macs will be announced and shown, but will not ship until around February. I'm anxious to see their features.
