Project X from Marware

When they are not busy creating new iPod cases it seems that the folks at Marware are creating project management software, perhaps so they can more effectively produce iPod cases.

Project X bills itself as 'project management for the rest of us,' and it is very slick. I watched a demo at the Marware booth and I was impressed. Oh, if only I had projects to manage.

The software will be carried in all Apple stores and sell for $199 and it is 'coming soon.'

I use PMX for project management on a (almost) daily basis. It imports MPP and MPX files from Microsoft Project without issue.

so far itaskx is the closet thing i've seen to project on os x. i've looked at tons others on os X and not liked the UI for any of them. i'm curious how good this will turn out to be.

I wish someone would just replicate MS Project functionality on the Mac.

Looks not worth the $199. Come on, it looks like a framework that brings ical and address book together., big whoop.

Where's the Ghantt chart?

I'd consider paying $50, but $199 is so not worth it.

This looks very cool and useful however, I would like a demo. I would never just drop $199 on a software product by a company that I have never used. It looks as though they are going to only offer retail packages.

Thanks for providing a link to the product page - at least 4 other mac sites neglected that crucial bit of info in their reporting.
