Sticky Windows updated to version 1.2
Sticky Windows by Donelleschi Software is a utility that brings
those great tabbed windows from the classic Mac OS back to Mac OS X. Once it's up and running you only need to drag any
window to an edge of your screen to have it exist there as a small, unobtrusive tab. Click that tab to reveal its
window, and click again to hide it. I've played around with the demo for a little while this afternoon, and it's pretty
nice. I'm the type that likes an ultra-tidy desktop (no icons), and this plus Quicksilver and Command-Tab is working for
me. Changes in version 1.2 include:- "Keep always open" button added to every tab
- Fading effect removed to improve speed
- Improved compatibility with Mac OS 10.4
- Application efficiency improvement

I have used the NEW sticky Windows Update and the it is working flawlessly , i have a G5 dual , with 30 inch cinema and 19 inch monitor and still I dont have enough room for all the charts - apps - email, and gizmos so this was fantastic for sliding apps and making tabs anywhere on the comptuer, not only that but it will make a tab right on the app itself that you are using, it sure beats sliding your mouse over 50 inches to the dock, since i have to slide it across 50 inches of prime realestate to get to the dock, I love this app and the demo is free.
I also bought the Memory Cunning Windows App that i used for a week , this app allows you to rock your apps with huge memory and stop others from using it on a dime, Fantastic for power users. Best of all you can demo all his apps for free, I dont pay for most apps but this guy , He deserves the money.

I haven't tried this out, I was excited to try it until I read these comments :( I LOVED "pop-up" windows (note the correct term) on OS 9. It was better than a folder on the dock, because it was instantaneous-- incredible fast up and back. Dock folders are always lagging on my Powerbook with Panther. Plus, pop windows could be re-sized, could be any view type you wanted, and you could easily move them around with the option key. That, and overall speed, are the things I miss most from OS 9. Looks here like I'd better leave that dream in the past.

Great idea, however its rather buggy and gets confused easily if you minimize windows. Also it causes phantom windows in Expos

Tabbed windows in classic were handy because as soon as you clicked on something, they went away essentially turning any window into a menu system. The sticky windows tabs seem to just be short cuts to open the window itself.

Originally the developer thought that unsanitys haxies were causing the problem but I have done a complete reinstall of my System and did not install anything from Unsanity.com and Sticky Windows continues to crash.
