Textpander goes universal
Textpander is the simple utility that allows you to define
abbreviations for frequently used phrases. Once you've set things up, you can simply type your abbreviation in most
applications, and let Textpander replace it with the appropriate phrase. Today, version 1.2.2 has been released as a universal binary.
I don't do a lot of word processing, but I can see how this would be useful.Textpander is donationware and requires Mac OS 10.3.9 or later.

Yet another example of why comment previewing would be useful here. Who can we pester to get that added?

Sorry, it won't let me show the macro either. Sorry, but that's just insipid.
Duh. I blogged about Textpander on 15.Dec in this entry on my blog.
BTW, the href link above, my blog link, email? All Textpander macros. It's true. I have all my macros even in other people's blog forms.
For those of you already using Textpander, you need this macro:
Read the manual and be amazed.
Wow, it actually lets you import the data from Typeit4me! Seems to be working great.

Word, Mail, your favorite code-editor, your favorite browser, even here in your favorite Add your comments textarea. A great little tool. Try it and be spoiled forever. And pay the Man. He deserves it.
