Tweaking iTunes at MacDevCenter

After some prologue about how iTunes is a sort of software ambassador for Apple (good point really), he's got a handy list of tidbits for iTunes users new and old. There's the list of keyboard shortcuts in the visualizer, and the usual assortment of Doug's AppleScripts. Not that big of a deal, but you don't need to command-click the bottom of the iTunes window to switch between aproximate time and exact running time of your Library. Just a click will do.

I think CoverFlow (http://www.steelskies.com/coverflow/), mentioned on the article, deserves some mention. It's a pretty cool free app which would be pretty cool to have at a party or whenever you have people over.

The command option trick is great for situations were you have two machines with different libraries, because you have been slow in keep them synchronized.

You plug in your iPod while on travel with your PowerBook and BAM! You emptied your iPod back to the 6 month old version of your iTunes library, because you forgot to update it prior to your trip.

You may have only been connecting to get it changed. Bummer! Now, you only have few Amy Grant songs to listen to.
