TUAW on the news
It was only
for a second or two, but this morning I appeared on WABC (the NYC ABC affiliate) morning news as an "iPod expert."
They show my harrowing visage with my name underneath and a quick mention of The Unofficial Apple Weblog / TUAW.com
beneath my name. We're famous! We've made it to TV! w00t!
Here's a link to the accompanying story and if you are curious to see exactly how badly my diet has been going, make sure you check out the video podcast of the interview.

Any spike in viewers since?
February 17 2006 at 6:42 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyMakes sense C.K., like I said no biggie. I just like to see sites like MacUpdate who dedicate themsleves to the Mac community exclusively get some recognition.
But if Version Tracker helps some people see the light then I am all for it.

Hey AH,
I've been a user of Versiontracker since before MacUpdate was around, and considering the ABC audience is more PC users than Mac users, I had to mention a service that covered both.
Mark, Sree is very nice and professional in person. Good guy.
Yea, I saw it this morning too CK, did a bit of a double take. I honestly, typically, don't pay attention to that segment. I cannot STAND Sree. Please tell me, he's not like that in person. He has to be the joke of the office.

Yes, I'm a New Yorker. Yes, I obviously watch channel 7. And it's always a real treat (sarcasm intended) to hear the hosts shriek that phrase at me, with segment host Sree grinning moronically in the background. But not this morning--sorry I missed this one. Congrats!

Too bad you went with recommending VersionTacker instead of MacUpdate, which I have found to be a bit more user friendly, at least in terms of page layout.
In the end it doesn't matter really, but MacUpdate is a good site that I rely on greatly, and focuses on the Mac exclusively as opposed to Versiontracker which caters to the Windows world as well.
To heck with the diet, you *were on TV*! Great job!
