Chax updated, adds Growl support

Remember Chax, the free, feature-packed iChat plugin we found a couple weeks ago? It's received a couple of minor updates and tweaks since then, and one I thought worth mentioning was Growl support. Previously, the only way I knew of getting iChat to play with Growl was GrowliChat, a separate app that was more or less a one-trick pony.

Other new features in Chax's tiny bump to version 1.3.2 include:

Automatically set status to away when the screen saver is activated
Show animated user icons in the contact list
Hide iChat and new message windows when iChat is inactive
French localization

Changing the font is awesome. It took them long enough though...sheesh.

If you're using Quicksilver this can also tell Growl what's playing in iTunes. You also control itunes via keyboard shortcuts and search by album/artist/playlist

for comment #2... I like to use byte controller, it adds menubar control for itunes, keyboard shortcuts, growl support and its free

Now if only there was an alternative to GrowlTunes to get iTunes working with Growl. It's quite the one trick pony.. unless you count that it lets me set song ratings ha.

I just downloaded this two days ago. I love it. Being able to change the font on my buddy list is way cool.
