I can't blame Apple for not putting out what Rumors said they would...
And for all I know the Hi-Fi sounds great, so I will wait to hear that on my own.
The mini, kinda neat. Good stuff there, that intergrated video is good for HD playback, I like that.
The Leather cases... Lets not talk about those...
I am sure we will talk about it on the next CastaBlasta.

Something I haven't seen mentioned yet:
The "big" announcement was actually a small announcement. Apple's little theatrette on campus seats less than 100 people. It was nothing like the big expansive MacWorld keynotes.
The attendees were invited journalists - the ones Apple hopes will write favorably about its products, and the presentation was directed to them.
Jobs' presentation was quite different from a regular keynote: he spoke much softer, used a less "showman" type tone, and was almost casual in his presentation to the audience, many of whom he would have been speaking to later on a one-to-one basis. They were not members of the general public.
You can see this in the video segment at:

Personally, I think the emphasis on this event by the fanboys is far out of proportion to what it was intended to be. Apple probably should have used a press release instead for these products, but they knew full well most journalists wouldn't find much to write about without being wooed first.

I am just so freaking sick of everyone whining and crying over the Apple announcements. People decided -- all on their own -- that it would be the biggest, most revolutionary announcement in the history of the company, that all our wildest dreams were about to come true. Then they complain incessantly when it turns out to be as minor as Apple said it was going to be. Shut the heck up already.
Or remember the reaction to the original iPod announcement, immortalized at: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=500
"All this hype for something so ridiculous! Who cares about an MP3 player?" indeed.

You're absolutely correct, Jeremy. I beleve yesterdays product anouncements begin a series of amazing product anouncements this year. It'll all make sense by the Xmas holiday shopping season.
You ain't seen nothing yet!

I listened to the keynote on Engadget's podcast, and Steve was so off. He made lots of uncharacteristic mistakes (said "Powerbook" like 4 times, pressed the wrong buttons, etc) and didn't show a whole lot of enthusiasm.
As for the keynote:
Randy: "It was alright at the beginning, but ended a little rough. It was just alright for me."
Paula: "It was good, not your best performance, but you... your a star"
Simon: "I could have just went to the website and saw these announcements. You better perform better next show or America is going to vote you out"

I voted on your poll, more importantly I voted with my wallet, as soon as I saw the new mini, its specs, and its price I dashed off to the Apple store and ordered a 20" Intel iMac.
