Plaxo Mac beta today?

Plaxo on Windows is a bitch for Spyware and worse to try and remove.
I would not touch Plaxo with someone elses barge pole,

Yeah, but getting emails from people asking you to update your info on plaxo is annoying.

I always delete them.

If you were that concerned about handing over your contact list to a third party, you would chide anyone who used .Mac, too.

It doesn't really seem to work anyways. I've tried to upload a couple contacts via vCard and it's still chugging away hours later.. doesn't seem to have done anything.

Tantamount to a trojan spamming virus too. I don't know about you, but I'd think twice about handing my whole address book over to a 3rd party service. By the amount of spam I got from these guys the first time this made the rounds on Windows, it's obvious that many of my friends and acquaintances didn't take my privacy into consideration at all.
