Tip of the Day
Holding the Command key (aka the Apple key) and pressing Tab will cycle through your open applications. It's easier to Cmd-Tab if you are Copy (Cmd-C) and Pasting (Cmd-V) to and from various applications.

meh, im just wish they would have a discount for people renewing their .mac membership rather then the full 70 a year.

I second the meh. My renewal came up and I just had a hard time renewing for that kind of cash.. I can't see new iChat icons throwing me over the edge.

Could someone maybe e-mail me the 640kb file? Not a .Mac member anymore, I switched to Spymac.

crappy icons are not a very good incentive for me to join .mac

Mike,
You stopped paying for the service. I find it offensive that you would ask for these to be sent to you. You stated that you aren't a .Mac subscriber any more, thus you don't deserve to relish in any of the .Mac services that others pay good money to enjoy. I hope that posting your email on a public website results in endless spam landing in your inbox.

Dan: I'm sorry that I've just found a service (Spymac) that allows you to get more for your money. 3GB storage, works with iWeb (can publish iWeb pages to your Spymac page http://celebi23.spymac.com/Site/Welcome.html ), Photocasts, Personal Blog & included Blogging tool. Cost: $25 for 1 year (Spymac) vs. $99 for 1GB of storage (.Mac). Hmm, which is the better deal?

It's funny, the team at .mac always seem to come up with things which seemed useless when I had it, and now that I don't, mildly annoy me. Either way, it's not good marketing to annoy me. A lower price would be bring me back at this point. Nothing else.
MIke, enjoy your downtime on Spymac. You'll have plenty of it.

Just wait a day or so, these files will obviously end up on the Mac torrent sites.
Also, .Mac is overpriced, and Spymac is a pretty mediocre webhost.
Be a big boy and go get some real hosting.

I guess if you don't have .Mac, then it's easy to say 'it's not worth it." Quite frankly, the $99 is worth knowing you have a dedicated email address and web storage that never changes.
Fishes,
narco.

.Mac is overpriced- you will be able to find those icons soon somewhere - but only a nub would actually use them. Spymac should not be paid for: it is good to share and get feedback - no, I mean it was good for that. There will be more downtime with spymac than other places, but it isn't so bad. Blog - nobody cares, crappy iweb website - nobody cares... Best option is a real host. A good host will give you server+1 domain for less than 40 a year with more features than you need, but sadly no simple template blogs or 1 click upload my nobody cares webpage...

I have had a .mac account for three years now and I have never payed full price.
Apple discounts it $30.00 at least once once a year or when you buy a new system.
