NES emulator for the iPod
First it
was Pac Man and Ms. Pac Man, and now the
enterprising geeks at the iPod Linux project have written a NES emulator for the iPod. So far, Megaman, Spiderman, Skate Or Die and
Guerilla War work fine, while Tetris, Super Mario Brothers and a few others are still a bit crash-tastic.If you've got the skills (and free time), why not lend these folks a hand in getting a few more games up and running. And before you ask "why," let me provide you with the answer: Because we can.

OK, I'll be "that guy"; who cares? Seriously? I can't figure out how you can control any of these games with the click wheel. Show me some reasonable input method and I'll show you some interest. Move along..

oh, I care, if I don't have to carry a GP2X in my pocket as well as my phone, iPod, wallet, and keys, that would be all the cooler.

Any game that was workable with a single joystick could work with an iPod. Direction and firing button. Even gaming systems that may have had two directional pads and two firing buttons, didn't always have games that used all of those elements.
I think it would be hell on a click wheel however. I doubt these get much use beyond proof of concept. When is the last time you played snake or qbert on your cell phone?
