I spend a significant
amount of time using Apple Remote Desktop Admin every day at work. Aside from Radmind, it's my most valuable and useful tool for managing hundreds of Macintosh
workstations in our labs and classrooms. I also have a brand-new 20" Intel iMac sitting on my desk, but until
today, I've been unable to switch to it as my main computer because the ARD Admin software refuses to run on the new Intel
machines.Behold, a smart Mac admin somewhere has has figured out how to get ARD Admin to run on an Intel Mac, and it's as simple as removing the Intel version of the ARD agent, allow the Admin software to self-heal, and then relaunching the Admin app. More info and discussion here.
Now I can make my Intel iMac my main Mac desktop! So exciting the life of a Mac admin! Heh.

As stated in the MacOSXHints article's comments: it's enough to do a 'get info' on the ARDAgent.app and selecting 'open in rosetta'. After that ARD 2.2 will install and run fine.
So you don't even need to move or delete anything :)

Just as a side note, make sure that you do not have Apple Remote Desktop checked under your Sharing Preferences otherwise it does not work. Other then that, its about time.

Still waiting for my MacBook (here in NZ) and had a horrible thought! Does RDC have the same problem connecting to Windows Servers? I sure hope not - otherwise I'm in deep stook. Anybody had experience with RDC on the new Intel Macs?

Had I read the comments to this post earlier, I would've seen Kurtis' comment regarding Apple Remote Desktop sharing being enabled, but it only takes a few seconds to figure out why.
I've written up the specifics as to why this is (for those of you that were wondering) and a few other provisos over at the Small Dog blog:
